Sounds equally reasonable to the eternal magical mystery being who poofed everything in to existence to entertain himself, and now hides himself in cryptic texts that few understand. Of course, he wants us all to say the magic words and stand on our heads three times a day to prove our love for him. Hm, I realize this sounds mocking, but isn’t what I mean by it. I find both ideas equally preposterous, theism just adds a middle man to the atheist concept in your post.
I suppose what I am most surprised by is the tiny fraction of the population who ever considers the idea at all, or at least with any depth. Whether atheist or theist, those who take the time have my respect.
