Feel when I dance with you,
We move like the sea.
You, you’re all I want to know.
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.
I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd.
I can drive down the road; my eyes don’t see,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud.
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.
I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd.
I can drive down the road; my eyes don’t see,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud.
Dance floor is like the sea,
Ceiling is the sky.
You’re the sun and as you shine on me,
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.

Think of the “you” here as Krishna and the dancing as at kirtan.
It is close to a description of how I sometimes feel when dancing for Krishna.

Little known facts re the release of ” Within you Without You”
(Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band 1967)
1) It features only George Harrison and a group of uncredited Indian musicians
2) Originally written as a 30-minute piece on harmonium at the house of long-time Beatles friend Klaus Voormann

We were talking-about the space between us all
And the people-who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth-then it’s far too late-when they pass away.
We were talking-about the love we all could share-when we find it
To try our best to hold it there-with our love
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Try to realize it’s all within yourself
No-one else can make you change
And to see you’re really only very small,
And life flows ON within you and without you.
We were talking-about the love that’s gone so cold and the people,
Who gain the world and lose their soul-
They don’t know-they can’t see-are you one of them?
When you’ve seen beyond yourself-then you may find, peace of mind,
Is waiting there-
And the time will come when you see
we’re all one, and life flows on within you and without you.

Gosh… you truely inspired me. As you know I don’t dance… period. But tonight at our twice monthly program, after I switched from drum to kartals, I stood and did the SP two step shuffle. Not dynamic dancing… not Gosh Gone Wild… but nevertheless, me dancing for Krishna for no other reason than joy. Thanks. :-}

Thanks Dev for the George Harrison lyrics.
Ed: Good to hear it! All the wildness that goes for dancing in ISKCON aside, I think of dancing for Krishna as a dynamic asana, and it can be quite subtle.
